Better Page Rank

It’s well known in the internet marketing world that improving your site’s page rank can be very helpful for your rankings with the search engines. It’s a way to get more publicity and improve the status of your site in the eyes of the search engines. If you’re looking to get more quality visitors to your site, it makes sense to do everything you can to raise your page rank. By using the following 3 methods, you’ll find that your page rank increases and you get more visitors. Whether your website is about detox products or any other topic, increasing your page rank will help you in more than one way.

Increase Your Sites Page Rank

The first thing you can do when it comes to getting a better page rank is speak to other people in popular forums within your niche. When you find forums within your niche, use your link in the subject matter. When a forum is extremely popular with tons of posts, it’s obviously going to have a great page rank, and those are the forums you need to go after. You will not only make your site appear more credible to Google, but it will also increase your page rank due to all the quality backlinks you’ll be getting. This means understanding one way links. At the same time try to stay away from forums that don’t get as much traffic. It’s only worth it to go after the forums that have the higher numbered page ranks. It’s all about quality, not quantity.

Not only that, but with forum marketing you will also be able to deliver visitors to your site just by the link in your signature. Another page rank boosting technique that can really help is also one that might not be ideal for every blog owner. However, if you can really take advantage of it and do it the right way, it can prove to be the fastest way to increase your page rank.

So what’s the catch? You create or hire somebody to create WordPress plugins, themes and extensions. There are many free WordPress plugins and these sites have a high page rank. You contact the webmaster and ask if they’ll include your add-ons to their list. It’s fairly easily to learn to make add-ons like these, so give it a shot and use it to your own benefit. So if your targeted niche is about how to “increase your sites page rank” then you need to find forums within that niche.

Also, make sure you internally link your site or blog’s webpages, as that will also help you get a higher page rank.

So remember to use all of the strategies we’ve discussed above, and you will gradually be able to raise your site’s page rank and search engine ranking. There are many webmasters that don’t really focus on growing their page rank but that will only limit your traffic options. After all, search engine traffic is the easiest way to get prospects and customers for free.

So if your articles are about “increasing your sites page rank” then they will obviously help your site increase the page rank because of the incoming link.

One Way links 300x200 Understanding One Way Links

one way links

Building one way links can be done the right way or the wrong way. It is certainly one of the most important aspects of website success these days but you really have to know what your doing. You can just hire an SEO company but you really should know what you are talking about or the one way links you may get won’t help and maybe even hurt you.

I will quickly explain why one way links are better and how they can help boost your site in the search engines.

Understanding One Way Links

There are several types of links (aka backlinks) which I will explain below and one way links are the most important of them all for a few reasons.

One Way Links Types

Directory One Way Links: These are standard one way links back to your site from a variety of directories where you can include a combination of title about your site and a short description. These really don’t help help your site much because directories really aren’t niche specific, they are like a phone book helping to point people in the right direction which is why they are called directories. Although they will give you one way link and can directed traffic only 8% of people actually use them to find what they are looking for online. You better of spending you time working on “content one ways links”.

Content One Way Links: These are one way links to your site found within the body of content (articles, blog post, etc.) from what’s called anchor text. Anchor text is simply a keyword that links back to your site. As an example, let’s use the word “Link Building” and create a hyperlink back to the site we want the get traffic to so that people can get more information to help them out. As you can see our anchor text is highlighted and now has a one way link to what ever site you own or promote. These are the best type of one way links because they will come from content that is directly related to your niche, from a site that hopefully has page rank itself that will help your one way links authority.

Social Sharing One Way Links: You can get one way links using social media from sites like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.  These are great because and others can see what you are up to by reading your post. Every time you write a new blog post for example, you can update your status showing what you have done. This will help you become provide your “Brand” and services as an industry resource or expert in you niche.

Social Media One Way Links: This means driving traffic to your site using videos from sites like YouTube. This is a bit different because in most cases you cannot get direct one way links from your Videos. Instead people will have to check out your profile to find your website link. You will not be able to use anchor text on YouTube but the power of driving traffic from your videos is certainly worth mentioning here.

This strategy can include posting of “how to” videos on your related topics and social bookmaking them on sites like  like StumbleUpon or De.licio.us.

Bad Link Building

Now let’s discuss one way links that can really hurt your site. Most people don’t realize these and yet search engines specialist tell us not to do them all the time.

Do Not build one way links from sites that have a low page rank as these are considered to be very low in regards to popularity and search engines will not recognize them. It’s better to a few one way links from high page rank sites then 10,000 from low page rank sites.

Do Not participate in link trading or reciprocal links. I know everyone is doing it these day but the truth is that this can hurt your site. Example: You trade links with a dog training site when your site is related to real estate. These are unrelated niches (Topics) there fore your links are not related and Google won’t recognize them and may even penalize your site because your links are not specific to your niche and there fore are useless to visitors.

Building one way links using a solid strategy can really drive your page rank, so follow these steps and you will see results.

Google Toolbar Page Rank

Google page rank Google Toolbar Page RankUsing the Google toolbar page rank checker tells you lots about a website before you even visit it. The higher the bar the more popular the website is because of the amount of links it has coming to it. These are most likely sites that offer good quality content and not spun articles from some software.

To have a high page rank requires hours of link building to your site. You need to use caution because if you get too many links too fast you will lose credibility with Google and they will penalize your site and reduce it’s page rank or it will take thousands of after thousands just to get a rank of 1.

Google Toolbar Page Rank Checker

I have seen in many occasions where I have checked my Google toolbar page rank checker on my own sites to find that I am not ranking very well BUT my pages are coming up in the top of the search engines.

How can this be when people are spending thousands of dollars everyday to get placed high in Google or other search engines? This is no big secret yep people are charging for this information in ebooks all over the net. The answer is simple, “Design SEO“.

Search engines use relevancy to select websites in addition to back links so even when you Google toolbar page rank is low you can still be on page one. Her’s an example: Type the words “Provillus Canada” into Google or Yahoo and you will see a website called www.provilluscanada.ca. Guess how many back links it has? ZERO. That’s right ZERO back links yet it’s on page one. It’s Google toolbar page rank is zero also.

Google Toolbar Page Rank Has No Relevancy

The basis of the Google toolbar page rank is not based on relevancy it’s based on links to your site. Proper SEO is based on relevancy which is why more and more companies are offering their SEO services and at a dear price. What most people don’t realize is that they can get to the top of Google and other search engines just by reading the all free information out there on the net without paying a dime. I started this Blog by compiling all the FREE information out there and sites like the one we mentioned above can start getting to the first page of Google for FREE.

I’m not saying you don’t need back links! Let’s make that clear. I’m saying it’s not the only factor to get to page one.

Where To Get The Google Toolbar Page Rank Checker

Ok it is still a good idea to download the Google toolbar page rank checker for your browser so that you can see what sites have a high page rank and you can swap links with them. Also you can get ideas from their site to see what makes them popular and implement them on your site.

Using the Google toolbar page rank checker for just back link checking is only one method.

Page Rank Items You Need

Google page rank SEO How To Check Page Rank And How It Affects Your WebsitePage Rank is a useful indicator of how well respected a website is by Google. Wikipedia’s page rank for instance is incredible. But one day, a long long time ago, even Wikipedia started with a PR of zero. Don’t worry so much about getting links from websites with immense page rank.

Must do’s For Page Rank

Firstly they are unlikley to have the motivation to link to you when your site is brand new. And for another, your enthusiasm could take a big dent from the higher rate of rejections. Start with small acorns to grow that big oak of yours. Read on if you’d like to find websites with a nice pagerank.

Find sites with Page Rank

There are a number of ways to find websites that have a high Page Rank, but we’ll cover just one of the simplest to get you going here for now. If you use Internet Explorer or another browser, that’s just fine, but I’d recommend getting hold of Firefox – it’s much nicer to use than IE, and there are thousands of free plugins and addons to expand it.

Search for, download and install the ‘Google toolbar’. I use it in Firefox all the time, and one of the nice little features is the Page Rank indicator on the toolbar. Simply visit a website, and you see a small bar in green if the site has any page rank. Hold your mouse cursor over it, and you’ll see the score from zero to ten. Easy. If you don’t see the Page Rank indicator, right click your Google Toolbar > Google Toolbar Options > Tools > check the box for Page Rank > Save.

With this tool in your bag, you can search for whatever websites or blogs are most relevant to your niche, and check the page rank of the site instantly. As I said, don’t just disregard the smaller websites! Every website starts from zero, and a backlink you obtain today on a PR0 website, could turn into a link from a PR4 or 5 website as that site grows.

Now, let’s not also forget that PR is just one factor to consider when building your backlinks. Of course, this is a good indication of what level of respect Google gives the website. Also, think of relevancy. It’s no good shooting for a link from a PR5 page, if that page has no relation to your website. So apply a little common sense.

  1. Download Firefox & install
  2. Download Google Toolbar & install
  3. Search for web pages or blogs relevant to your niche
  4. Look in your toolbar – check the Page Rank score
  5. If you like it, go for a backlink!

Page rank should be checked on any site you get links from as the amount of links to it’s site will increase your page rank.

Improve Search Engine Ranking

page rank improve1 Five Simple Steps Improve Search Engine Ranking

Improve Search Engine Rankings

Here are 5 simple yet highly effective tactics that will quickly improve search engine ranking through page rank:

Improve Search Engine Ranking Step 1: Write some articles about your chosen niche.

Writing and then publishing articles using online article directories such as E-Zine articles, Article City or Go Articles can be one of the best ways to improve your search engine ranking through targeted optimization of your website.  By linking from these articles back to your website you are not only able to generate traffic to your site but more importantly you will be building a network of relevant back links to your website which will be picked up by the search engines. The search engines such as Google having seen that your site is linked to other relevant content will then improve your search engine ranking.

If you want to increase the number of links to your site you can use a paid service such as My Article Network which will submit your article to over 10,000 blogs.  This type of service will distribute you article to a larger network of article sites which in turn will create even more relevant back links to your website.

Improve Search Engine Ranking Step 2: Use link building networks.

As I mentioned in the previous step the greater the number of relevant back links the greater the authority Google will place on your site. So make it your objective to get your site linked to as many relevant high page rank sites as possible.

This can of course be a time consuming task as you could face endless hours posting on blogs just to build up your back links. I would recommend Link Varna which is a service that automates link distribution for you so you can spend more time on other aspects of your business.

Improve Search Engine Ranking Step 3: Write and submit press releases.

Web site promotion and internet marketing in the wrong hands can be an expensive venture. This is why I like press releases so much as a cost-effective and efficient way of promoting a website to a large audience. There are a number of press release submission sites which are used by marketers and press alike. One example is PRweb who will even distribute your press release for free. When submitting a press release or article you must always remember that the aim is to drive traffic to your website and to improve your search engine ranking through quality links. Therefore, you must always remember to include a link back to your website by including your URL in the resource box which is normally at the bottom of article and press release submissions.

Improve Search Engine Ranking Step 4: Use social media.

I am sure if you are reading this you are familiar with social media websites such as Facebook or Twitter. How many of you actually use these sites or other third party sites such as Squidoo, Blogger or Hub Pages to send people to your website. One of the most effective tactics you might use is to create feeder pages on these sites to send visitors to your own website. By creating a blog on a third party site to which you can post pictures and news about your business you will take advantage of internet users casually browsing these sites for information about your particular niche. Again, the important thing to renmember with each of these is to link directly back to your site which again will add more relevant back links to your website. I bet you are starting to see a pattern emerging here, aren’t you?

Improve Search Engine Ranking Step 5: Post comments in forums.

Forums can be a really good place to find people who have an active interest in your niche. As you are are probably an expert in the about the subject matter of your market it takes very little effort to add comments in forums specific to your niche. Many of the popular forums will give you the option to include your website address in the signature of your forum post. Search engines like Google love forums as they are constantly updated, so a number of posts within a relevant forum can have almost instant effect on you search engine ranking.

These tips are proven to Improve Search Engine ranking and bring you traffic.
