Learn to make a home page that will bring you traffic without costing you a dime. That's right if you follow these few very basic step you get free web traffic just by building the home page with proper SEO techniques. Most people think the main focus of any web page is the page layout itself. What if told you your page layout could be the best layout on the internet and still get zero traffic, well it's true.

 

Without website traffic nobody is going to see your web page layout no matter how great it is. Here are the key factors you need to use when you make a home page!

Make Home Page Step #1 Building

First there are two way to make home page or any page for that matter. You can create the pages offline in an HTML builder like "Dream Weaver" and upload them to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) via FTP (File Transfer Protocol) like Filezilla or the easiest way, create them in a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) builder that you can purchase separately or if you are smart you can use the builder that comes free when you select your web hosting like I use.

 

There are a few build in website creators and I'm here to tell you they are not all the same. The one I use is called RV Site Builder and it comes free with my hosting and is very easy to use. It's simple and fast and easy to apply basic SEO principles right into every page.

Make Home Page Step #2 Structure

The basic structure of the home page should focus on the customer or visitor to your site. The creating of the page has to be done with proper Design SEO in order to be found by search engines. What does this mean? Well the first thing you need to do is make sure your home page has some key elements for SEO.

 

Proper "Meta" like the Meta Title Tag which is the most important part of your website pages including when you make home page. This tells search engines and prospects what you page is about so you will want to make sure you create a very good, eye catching Meta Title that will make people want to click on your site in the search engine results.

 

Other Meta, like meta description and meta keywords are OK to fill in but they are not as important as they used to be in getting search engines attention. The meta description is what searches will read right after the Meta title to help them determine if your website is what they are looking for.

Make Home Page Step #3 Page Layout

 

Google has conducted studies that show visitor look at your website starting from the top left scanning across and down to the right and then back left and down again. This is very important to know so as you make home page you will want to make sure to include key information in those areas.

 

 

Top left should have a descriptive Page Title describing how your site is going to fix the visitors issues. On the far right down slightly from the very top you want to include a picture of your best product (Make sure it is linked to you sale page).

 

You will then need to make sure that when you make home page that it is very easy to read and navigate. The copy (Content) should be properly design optimized with content that right off the get go will catch the visitors attention drawing them in to read on.
